Thode Knife & Saw Pty Ltd was established in 2005 after the takeover of Yarra Valley Saws Pty in Healesville Victoria which is our base. Our primary business in Australia focuses on new product Sales of Bandsaw, Circular Saws, Chipper knives and other saw-shop related consumables such as Babbitt and Stellite.

In addition to this Thode sells and installs Iseli saw-shop machinery which is regarded as the world’s best by many. In recent years there have been many machine upgrades to the Iseli range which have allowed customers to achieve outstanding results of quality and efficiency. Iseli saw-shop machinery is fast gaining favour with sawmilling companies throughout Australia

All wide bandsaws sold by Thode are produced in their world class manufacturing plant utilising Water-Jet technology which is the safest method available to cut steel without the possibility of inducing cracks. Iseli CNC oil grinding (also gentle on the saws) takes place with tension and levelling on the world famous Iseli RZ1.

Thode Knife & Saw Ltd is a New Zealand owned company that has well over 70 year’s experience servicing and supplying industrial knives and saws to a wide variety of industries. Thode has built up a formidable knowledge base over this time. We have qualified filers who have many years of experience individually that can assist with filing room needs. Our consultants can help with any cutting or tooling problems you may have. They are also well qualified to advise on tooling upgrade and replacement.

Thode Knife & Saw Ltd operates in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific Islands and is the largest business of this type in Australasia. The staff and management at Thode are understandably proud of the levels of service and backup that they can offer to their customers. A serious investment programme in new machinery now sees Thode having the latest "state of the art" CNC and robotic manufacturing and servicing capability. This allows Thode to offer unsurpassed levels of accuracy and consistency when manufacturing and servicing bandsaws, circular saws and guillotine blades plus many other cutting tools.

We have staff worldwide and have manufacturing and servicing/sales branches in Canada (Chilliwack BC), New Zealand (Auckland, Rotorua, Christchurch) and Australia (Healesville, VIC)
